Katie Emerson is a spitfire of an actress and singer based out of New York City. The small, but mighty gal got that good ol’ BFA from the wonderful Elon University. Recently, charmed audiences with her silly and vocal prowess as Kira/Clio in Xanadu back at Wolfbane Productions and as the dance captain and swing for Missy and Suzy in The Marvelous Wonderettes. Emerson has performed Off-Broadway, throughout North America in How the Grinch Stole Christmas The Musical, and around the world. Across the US, she has been featured screlting and acting a fool all over the place including at the Maltz Jupiter Theatre, Alabama Shakespeare Festival, Arkansas Repertory Theatre, Casa Mañana, Northern Stage, Hangar Theatre, Flat Rock Playhouse, and Syracuse Stage. As a sighting reading wiz with a ridiculous range, Emerson has also performed extensively in countless new musicals, readings, workshops, and concerts. She’s been hailed as “captivating,” “with a voice that truly could win the heart of anyone who hears it,” while giving performances with “…such an imaginative take that it’s almost hard to watch anybody else when she’s on stage.”
